Marton Szabo is a second-year undergraduate student, studying Biological Natural Sciences at St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge. He joined the lab February 2024 and been doing remote work on the sterile inflammation induced by mtDNA content in the cytosol in mitochondrial diseases, furthermore he has been helping with data and image analysis. His summer project in 2024 was focused on investigating extracellular vesicle secretion from C2C12 cell lines in mitochondrial stress, and characterising these EVs.
