Natalia Malig

Natalia is an MPhil student and a Research Assistant at the Horvath Group. Her project focuses on researching changes in mitochondrial DNA during neural induction and how this process differs between healthy individuals and patients affected by MELAS (m.3242 A>G).


Previously, Natalia completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. During her final year, she carried out her research project at the DKFZ in Heidelberg, Germany, where she studied mitochondrial changes in Alzheimer’s mouse models.
